Local, and family-owned, Jason’s Lawn Maintenance, takes the burden of lawn care off your plate

Jason Hurley’s background is in working as a mechanic, but he’s also been doing lawn care on the side for many years. During the furloughs of 2020 as the pandemic began, Hurley chose to make lemonade out of lemons by expanding his lawn care work into a full-fledged business.

“When I was furloughed, I only had 12 lawn customers, but I’ve had many of the same customers since 2015,” explains Hurley. “Within a month [of going full-time with lawn care], I was up to 50 customers.”

Hurley’s model focuses on regular customers for lawn mowing, but he can keep yards looking great in a variety of other ways too.

“We do all the maintenance around a property, maintaining mulch beds and bushes, we aerate lawns, and we can do overseeding,” says Hurley.

When customers sign up for ongoing service, they have a choice that helps keep everything very convenient, including thoughtful details like being able to respond to an email invoice or delivering a check, if that payment method is preferred.

As spring comes to Southwest Ohio, Hurley expects to see requests for certain kinds of work to become more common, and he recommends paying attention to your lawn at this key time.

“Lawn aerations are big right now, jumpstarting the growth of your grass,” says Hurley. “We also do a lot of spring clean-ups, getting mulch, leaves, sticks, and limbs out before the mowing season gets going.”
